The former EP and WIPO databases have been merged into the full text databases.
In Advanced search choose one of the above full-text databases from the dropdown menu Select the collection you want to search in .
Begin your search by entering search criteria in one or more of the fields. Keywords should be entered in the language of the database you selected.
Important! To retrieve a result in the full-text databases, you must enter at least one keyword in the keyword search field, otherwise an error message will appear.
In Smart search, enter one or more keywords as usual, then click Refine search at the top of the Result list to access the full-text databases.
You can use the following field identifiers for your search:
desc = to search full text in the description
claims = to search full text in the claims
ftxt = to search full text in the description and claims
extftxt = to search full text in the title, abstract, description and claims
When a search is triggered the search machine searches for all documents in that database containing those exact keywords. The keywords entered are highlighted within the text.
Note: Keywords are searched in the description and claims only when searching in the full text databases. To search for keywords in the title and abstract, the Worldwide database must be used.
